Meet the Founder

Kelly Galloway, B.Sc.(CE), P.Eng.

FOUNDER/PRESIDENT

Kelly Galloway, P.Eng. is a senior civil engineer with 30 years of experience, and 25 years with her own firm, Engineering Technologies Canada Ltd. (ETC). ETC is based in Prince Edward Island and provides specialized consulting engineering services to clients throughout Atlantic Canada and beyond.

Kelly has received multiple awards for excellence in engineering and sustainable design, including a Federation of Canadian Municipalities, Sustainable Community Award and an Engineers PEI Award for Engineering Achievement for the Village of Victoria’s wastewater treatment project. Kelly is also a voting member of the CSA B65-12 Technical Committee which developed a new Installation code for decentralized wastewater systems. She also chaired the Soil Absorption Systems Task Force.

Ms. Galloway has focused her career and companies on the design and management of small community, commercial, and residential sewage and septic systems, soil evaluations, and planning studies. She collaborates with top executives at major industry OEMs, and other thought leaders from government, academia, and industry organizations. She provides expert opinion and peer review services to governmental and private sector clients for use in litigation and regulatory hearings.

Kelly is a leading trainer for the septic industry including installers, service providers, regulators, engineers and designers. She is a frequent invited and keynote speaker at major industry conferences including NOWRA, WWETT, GSOWA, MOWRA, OOWA, and WWNS. She has been retained as a specialist consultant to provide guidance and updates to the onsite sewage guidelines for NB and BC.

Through her new companies, Dynamic Monitors and SepticSitter, Kelly designs and manufactures specialized soil testing equipment and remote monitoring systems to make on-site sewage systems more sustainable, reliable, and cost effective. Kelly currently holds U.S. and Canadian patents for two inventions for the on-site wastewater industry.
