Engineering Technologies Canada Ltd.

ETC is currently collecting the names of individuals who are interested in taking the next PEI Site Assessor course. Once we get enough people who are approved by the Province of PEI to take the course, we will finalize dates and open registration. We typically require a minimum of 15 attendees to put on the course.

Therefore, if you are interested, kindly fill out our survey at the following link as soon as possible: https://forms.gle/TFE998PbEgA9QTZt7

You will be placed on our waitlist and we will let you know (by email) when the next course will be held.

If you are taking the course because you intend to apply for a PEI Site Assessor License, please note that the Province of PEI has minimum educational requirements to become licensed. Guidelines in the past have been that a minimum of two (2) years of acceptable post-secondary education in a related field were required (for example: a diploma in plumbing, construction technology, surveying, engineering technology, GIS, project management, or a university degree in engineering, science, math, etc.).

If you DO NOT have a post secondary diploma or degree in a related field, then suitable practical work experience may be accepted instead. Typically, the Province requires that licensees demonstrate they have at least five (5) years experience in the installation of on-site sewage disposal systems, however, other related work experience may be accepted on a case-by-case basis.

It is the responsibility of each prospective attendee to confirm the acceptability of their education (or work experience) with the Province. ETC does not have the authority to approve attendees’ education or work experience, nor do we issue Site Assessor licenses.

Below are some contacts at the Province so you can make those inquiries to get confirmation of your education or work experience.
